I'm writing to you from the place where I learned that time isn't measured in hours, but in the warmth of the sun on my skin. I write these words so I never forget the origin of this journey, born under the endless Hawaiian sky and with that constant feeling of starting over.

I remember walking along the shore at dawn, watching the first rays of light ignite the ocean. In that silence, I felt the Mana: that sacred energy that connects all living things. I understood that I wasn't just looking at a landscape; I was witnessing a ritual of renewal. Here, nature not only exists, but it speaks.

In the rustling of palm trees and the roar of volcanoes, I learned the story of the goddess Haumea. She embodies the power of 'Aina (the earth) to rejuvenate and bloom again and again. Her story became my mantra: we can always be reborn. I decided that Sunny Hunny would not just be a brand, but a way to share that power of renewal through the treasures the earth provides.

Sunny Hunny was born long before she had a name.
It was born from the colors, the music, the ocean, the gentle sunrises and the intense sunsets I experienced. It was born from a deep respect for a culture that honors the land, cherishes its roots, and celebrates simplicity.

From that moment, I knew Sunny Hunny wouldn't just be a brand. It would be a way to share that feeling of well-being, of sunshine, of care, and of respect for nature. Ingredients like Kukui oil , that ancient elixir so deeply rooted in Hawaiian culture, became an essential part of our formulas, not only for what they do for the skin, but for what they represent: protection, balance, and connection to the earth. I wanted each product to be a tribute to respect for nature and the joy of simple living.

What began as a very personal dream became a reality when my husband, Kāne, and I built it together, when my inspiration found structure, support, and experience. Our hands joined to create the foundation of Sunny Hunny and to transform everything I discovered in Hawaii into the products that reach you today.
